The War Memorial Hall, opened in 1956 in honour of those who served and those who lost their lives in two World Wars, is used on a daily basis for all manner of activities and events. The Hall, with disabled access, can accommodate 130 seated in rows, theatre style, or up to 120 when tables are used, a hearing loop is installed. Activities which take place in the main hall range from toddler groups, quiz nights, classical music recitals, live entertainment events, talks, dances, charity fundraisers, children’s parties, wedding receptions and other private functions and fitness classes. The Main Hall: The hall has a wooden floor area (8.5m x 15m) with marked out badminton court, and stage (7.4m wide x 3.81m deep). A BenQ projector is installed together with a motorised drop-down screen measuring 3.5m x 2.65m for films and slide show presentations, blackout curtains, Grotrian Steinveg Grand Piano used for concerts and recitals, and Freesat connection. Garden Room: The Garden Room (5m x 9m), is equipped with easy chairs and tables and is suitable to accommodate smaller meetings or groups.. The Garden Room is also used as the bar and refreshments area for events taking place in the Hall. Freesat connection is available. Green Room: This room, 7.2m x 5.2m, located at the rear of the Memorial Hall is ideal for all yoga and pilates classes and for baby sensory classes. It has sprung flooring with underfloor heating, privacy curtains, WC, sink. With access directly to the stage, the room is also used as the backstage dressing room when live performances take place in the main hall. Projector, sound-bar and Freesat connection are available. Kitchen: The industrial kitchen, 3.5m x 5.5m, fully equipped including all cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery, is used to provide weekly Meals-on-Wheels dinners and can cater for large parties, dinners, receptions, etc.

There is a sound limiting device fitted to this venue. Usually installed as a licence condition, these devices can have an adverse effect on live or recorded musical entertainers by shutting down electrical power in the event of too much noise, or by forcing the entertainers to play through a controlled PA system. The "cut off" type limiters have been known to be triggered by audience cheers and clapping. This can significantly impact your enjoyment.

Venue has stated the following limitation(s): No parking is available on site unless for one or two cars. This is often used to drop off equipment for an event and or for disabled access to the hall. However, parking can be accessed at the Co-op Supermarket nearby.
