The Observatory houses one of Scotland's largest telescopes and also features interactive exhibits on light and prisms; a computer gallery with the latest CD-ROMs based on space and astronomy in general and science books, posters and toys can be found in the shop. A history of the Observatory is also available and you can enjoy the panoramic view of Edinburgh without the aid of a telescope
