The Highland Folk Museum is situated in the scenic Cairngorm National Park and visitors can track how Highland people lived from the 1700s to the mid 1900s. You can experience how people dealt with their environment by creating ingenious solutions to their everyday problems of providing light, heat, shelter, clothing and food. Whole buildings and their environment have been reconstructed, according to the authentic skills of the period. The site is a mile in length and visitors can spend 3-6hrs exploring the manned areas (Township, school and small farm), wander through the pinewoods or view the open air section.
