The village hall is great for parties, it is not a fancy modern building therefore i would not hold a wedding reception there. Unless you are looking for low key, which i would then use it. The price was on village rates so would not like to say what it would cost to someone who didn't live in the village. I found it had everything we needed and plenty of room. We have used it for a number of family parties .
