Situated on the banks of the River Bladnoch, the Distillery and Visitors Centre has one of the best Gift Shops in the are with examples of local crafts, good quality Scottish woollen goods and all at attractive prices. Dating from 1817, the buildings are of fine stone and slate and reflect the beauty and history of their setting. Wooden wash-backs and vast gleaming copper stills. Along the riverside walk is the ancient oak woodland of Cotland Wood, home of the broad leafed Helleborine, a rare orchid used as the Bladnoch motif.
