Description

Bemersyde Moss is a long narrow strip of marsh and open water lying in a 'kettlehole', a shallow depression formed at the end of the last Ice Age. The reserve is designated a SSSI and consists of areas of open water, willow scrub, reed and marsh vegetation. It also supports significant numbers of wintering wildfowl and otters.
